Policies

This is about as casual and relaxing a place as there is and we like it like that. That takes some effort but mostly in simply communicating to and with our guests.

 

Check-in time is anytime after 3:00 pm - We are not trying to limit your experience here but we don't want to cut short other guests staying, or the housekeepers and crew trying to keep Rossport running at its best. Our cleaning crew lets me know every day that it takes time to clean our houses cabins and cottages.  If we can accommodate you a little early of course we will do our best to reciprocate your courtesy in request. A complimentary early arrival is somewhere between 1 and 3. We will charge you for early check-ins if you need to check in before 1:pm and like anything else, early checking are only if we can do so without interrupting others. Seems reasonable right?

Check-out time is any time on your departure day before 10:00 am -  like check-in time, we are not trying to limit your experience here and we can extend a little time that you request we will do our best to reciprocate your courtesy. In the summer and on weekends this is not very likely but we always look and always try.  Late checkouts are charged and is based on whether we can do so without interrupting others.  Our cleaning crew will come knocking!

Pets:  No pets are allowed on the grounds of Rossport by the Sea or in any rental.  A service animal for ADA-recognized disabilities must be under the control of their handler at all times.

Smoking:  There is a $350.00 cleaning fee for smoking of any type in rentals as determined by staff.

Noise: Please keep it down. Rossport is a quiet and peaceful experience for all its guests.  Please do not let your noise be heard beyond your rental unit, or interrupt others trying to enjoy their stay.
